The Edmonton Soaring Club is located just north of Chipman. The club operates mostly weekends from spring thaw until winter freeze, and hosts several mid-week flying camps and student camps throughout the summer. The club's glider fleet is currently comprised of an SZD 54-2 Perkoz, an SZD 50-3 Puchacz, an L-23 Super Blanik, an ASW-15, an L-33, and a PW-5.
